get distracted Explanation: This term is from the children's book series about Albert Åberg, or Alfie Atkins, as Wikipedia calls him in English. Albert is supposed to go to bed, but he keeps getting distracted and his father gets more and more annoyed if I remember correctly. Anyway, the term is about getting distracted and forgetting to do what you were supposed to do. It's not something you would normally write in a serious text, it's more a spoken expression than a written one. I would write something like: The personel gets electrocuted because the equipment isn't disconnected from the system.
