Maybe this will help. "Mercantile staf" is OK to use for "merkantilt personell. "Medarbeider" is frequently translated to "co-worker", "collegue", etc. But in Norway "medarbeider" has also the meaning of a worker who is employed, in Norwegian often "tilsatt".

Asker: Thanks for your help and input. However I can't see how a hospital could have "Mercantile staff". Could this perhaps mean "non-healthcare staff" - in the context of the provision of healthcare?
