Norwegian term or phrase: Når det innføres en egenskap vedlegg med en link til edok
In this case I wonder what the term "egenskap vedlegg" means. "Appendix characteristic" just doen't seem correct.

English translation:When the "Attachment with a link to an electronic document" property is introduced
Explanation:
It sounds to me like it's missing quotation marks and is probably a translation from another language. While I used "property" in this case, given the ambiguity, this could very well be a check box or other GUI option.

Thanks: This seems to be the closest explanation, although I think the customer really meant "appendix", so I used that.

Explanation:
Jeg mener det er snakk om den beskrivelsen som dukker opp når man fører musetasten over en kobling. På engelsk heter det "legend"

Example sentence(s):
  • Navnet på serien er plassert i celle F2. Dette navnet vil eventuelt vises i forklaringsboksen (Legend).

Explanation:
This is my guess.

These two words have a few choices for translation.
vedlegg could be an attachment/associated thing... and an appendix in some contexts, but doesn't seem like that here. In emails I see vedlegg, in English I say attachment.
egenskab is characteristic/property/descriptor/nature/quality etc.

When a hyperlink has been set up with a link to edoc

That is what I think they mean, but I'm not certain. I agree it's a bit of a funny sentance.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I should have inlcuded the rest of the sentence, since this property required the creation of a hyperlink in several other places. It was a good answer though, and I would have used it if the hyperlink wasn't mentioned in the next sentence of the document.
