single-judge case Explanation: I guess this is more of a literal translation. Here in the US, a trial can be either a jury trial or a bench trial, the latter being a trial heard by a judge without a jury. However, in this case the terms does not seem to be limited to the actual trial; rather, it seems to apply to the case as a whole. |
