A poor choice of words in the source text - '..beregnes fordelsbeskatning". The proper term would be '..beregnes fordelsskatt'. Taxation is politically decided; what is computed is the tax itself. Hence, benefit tax, which sounds like a contradiction in terms.

agree  Solfrid Lokslid: Yes, Bjørnar is correct. In the US it's more often described as "taxable fringe benefit"

neutral  Per Bergvall: Solfrid has it ass backwards, Taxable fringe benefit is the benefit, while the fringe benefit tax is the tax. Personally, I can't see much difference betwixt a work-related benefiit and a work-related fringe benefit. But hey - why worry?
