Norwegian to English translations [PRO]

Norwegian term or phrase: strekkeside
"Pasienten var hypersensitiv i eit litt større område dorsalt (på strekkesida) ulnart (mot 5. ("lille-”) finger) fram mot negla (på strekkesida av 4. finger)."

I don't really understand the "strekkesida" of a finger - which part does it refer to?

Explanation:
Since it says "dorsalt", which refers to the back of the hand, "strekkesida" is referring the same side. In other words, it's the side of the finger on which your fingernail can be found, since it would stretch if you bent your finger. However, although I am a native speaker of Norwegian I have never heard this term being used before.
