Norwegian term or phrase: EG GREV NED MIN ELD SENT OM KVELD
This phrase was found on the front of a wood stove we bought at a tagsale that was made in Norway. The whole phrase as it appeared on the stove is:

EG GREV NED MIN ELD
*SENT OM KVELD*
NAAR DAGEN ER SLUT
ALDER SLONKA UT

I would appreciate it if you would translate the whole phrase. I would have written the whole phrase in the box for it but it would not fit.

Thank you for your time.

Explanation:
Jeeez, I gotta stop this poetry business... :-) I never was, and never will be a poet! The literal translation is all valid, but the poem did loose something in the translation, not? :-)
