Explanation:
"Father works in the greenhouse with his flowers during the day. His greenhouse is full of flowers and tomatoes he has planted. He's been standing on his head with his plants all day today. Now he's waiting for warmer weather so he can plant some of them outdoors."

"standing on his head" means working hard, of course.

This was a very positive experience. My father was born in Norway, but separated from his family - long story. Last summer my parents, one of my sisters and I went for a visit and my father saw his brothers and sisters, including 2 whom he hadn't seen in 60 years! So, we're trying to keep in touch and recently my cousin sent an e-mail entirely in Norwegian. My father couldn't translate all of it so I've been searching for a way he can get translations for some of the words. We think it's a dialect issue. So, you'll be hearing from him soon.
