Explanation:
The Norwegian words would be kjedemaske and fastmaske, respectively. My dictionary gives slip stitch and double crochet for these terms.

However, several sources tell me there is a difference in the terms used in UK or US English for the fastmaske. In UK, it is a double chrochet, while single chrochet is used in the US. Take your pick.....

Sorry for two cases of misspelling in the explanation. Chrochet should be crochet, of course.
