Transshipment Explanation: Transshipment is one of a few terms used in supply chain management. A freight forwarder will contact a carrier, who will either pick up from a supplier and deliver to a hub, pick up from a hub and deliver to the end destination, pick up from a hub and delivery to another hub, or pick up from a supplier and deliver to the end destination.
