chimney pillars with back-to-back fireplaces/or double-sided fireplaces

Explanation:
One smoke stack is shared by two sides.
1)If the fireplace is accessible from both sides, then it is a double-sided fireplace;
2) if there is a partition, then it is a back-to-back fireplace.

chimney pillars with shared flue

Explanation:
We wcześniejszych rozwiązaniach widać wyraźnie dążenie do skupiania pomieszczeń ogrzewanych wokół centralnie położonych urządzeń grzewczych. Paleniska najczęściej były przyłączone do wspólnego komina umieszczonego centralnie w sieni lub do dwóch kominów umieszczonych w izbach przylegających do sieni.

A flue is a duct, pipe, or opening in a chimney for conveying exhaust gases from a fireplace, furnace, water heater, boiler, or generator to the outdoors. Historically the term flue meant the chimney itself.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flue

A "shared chimney flue" means that the flue or pathway for venting combustion gases out of a building is shared among two or more things that need to be vented, such as a fireplace and a heating boiler. -
