FEEDBACK FROM THE ASKER Explanation: I appreciate all the above contributions, especially the Web references, but I feel uncomfortable about any "annuity"-based answers as I have now spoken with (a) 2 English lawyers, (b) experienced financial translators and they all resent that word in the context of the repayment of a loan (in Denmark, they have annuity loans but those are mortgage loans). So, even though the literal definition of "annuity" would confirm its use in the context I was inquiring about, there seems to be differences in that usage between various countries (with Polish banks, for instance, being keen on that term). Therefore, to be on the safe side, I have decided to use a term which has been suggested on another list, i.e. "fixed (monthly) payments." |
