The word I'm not sure of here is "jonkami."
It refers to the closure of a particular PCW container used for taking blood samples.

It really can't be anything else, can it?
But why "jonki"? The only thing that comes to mind that it is used the same way as "adidasy," where the brand name became stretched to mean all sorts of sport shoes.
There is a German company called Jonek that happens to manufacture such closures... http://www.jonek.de/produkte.htm
But I have to admit it is less than solid... ;)

Thanks - yes I agree with the comment made re trademark names. The author uses Erlenmeyerki for Erlenmeyer flasks earlier in the piece. Unfortunately I don't have access to the author to ask him/her what is meant!
