Net reserves include direct and assumed reserves...
...portion of the total direct and assumed reserves and liabilities, and because material portions of those reserves are ceded to affiliated companies...

W moich słownikach 'assume' odnosi się do m.in.: 'risk, charge of, a debt, an obligation, power, a succession', a nawet 'ownership', nie odnosi się natomiast do np. "zapasów". Swoją drogą odpowiedź Tomasza też mnie jakoś nie przekonuje, bo 'acquire' to 'acquire'.
