Nach weiterer Suche bin ich auf eine wahrscheinlich bessere Lösung gekommen.

Wenn es um die Beschreibung eines Bodens geht, ist es dann wohl doch eher ein bindiger Boden, benannt nach dem größeren Anteil von Sand gegenüber Ton. Hier ein Zitat aus einem Baulexikon (Quelle unten angegeben).

"Bindige Böden werden nach dem grösseren Anteil im Mischungsverhältnis benannt.

Beispiele:
Sandiger Ton > Mehranteile Sand gegenüber Ton"
