Portuguese term or phrase: revestimento intestinal
This is about bees exposed to pesticides.

A quantidade de substância ingerida pode causar irritação ao revestimento intestinal, diminuindo a capacidade de absorção.

I would like to confirm the most appropriate choice for "revestimento", since we're talking about insects.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks!

There is no reason that this is not applicable to insects if we are dealing with an organic material that absorbs.

Thanks, Ward! I was waiting for someone to persuade me to use "intestine" rather than "gut", and Danielle gave me a good reason to do it.
Thank you all!
