“Certifico que ... é Mestre em ... pela Universidade ..., TENDO SE SUBMETIDO à argüição pública da defesa da Dissertação intitulada...”

Poderiam me dar uma idéia para traduzir esse tempo composto em inglês (UK)? É de um certificado universitário.

No original, o verbo “submetido” se refere ao aluno, não à tese.

Até o momento tenho “I hereby certify that ... holds a Masters degree in ... awarded by Universidade …, and that [???] to the examinations for the defence of the Dissertation entitled …”
