Insuficiente - rendimento nulo

Insuficiente "insufficient" is a type of "grade" in Brazilian report cards. In addition to the grades (A to F), there is an "Insuficiente" status, which means the student has not attended enough classes, has not done enough works and tests, and does not have enough points to earn a grade at all. It cannot be considered an "F", but the student will necessarily have to take the subject again. I'm not sure what that would officially be called in English, but Ana Elisa's suggestion sounds good to me. However, it does not consider situations like a disease or something else that made the student skip many days, which would not be "Poor Performance" but "inssuficcient attendance".
