bushing housing Explanation: Bushing refers to the insulated connector used on a high-tension transformer or generator. The bushing passes through the earthed casing of the device, carrying the current at high voltage. As the "caneco" has a window to allow inspection of the actual bushing parts, I guess it might mean the housing surrounding the bushing, but I am not certain. In the diagram shown in the first link, no part is referred to as the "caneco". Maybe this housing is in fact the oil reservoir, as I read that some kinds are filled with oil (see Wikipedia article). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 hrs (2015-11-30 11:05:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Andrew!
