What I understood is that it has different names depending on the place where it is produced, snow cones, water-ice, raspadas etc. About Italian water-ice, apparently it is a little different from our "raspadinha". Anyway, thank you for the help.

agree  sula (X): this is the most accurate answer. Snow cones and shaved ice are normally different products. Unless a cone is definitely implied then I'd stick to 'shaved ice' which is a 'slush drink' as found on beaches in Sao Paulo and Bahia etc.

n the process of preparing a piragua, the piragüero shaves the ice from the block of ice with a Hand Ice Shaver.[7] He then pours the shaved ice into a cup and uses a funnel shaped object to give it its unique pyramid shape. The Piragüero finishes making the piragua after he pours the desired flavored syrup. Unlike the typical American snow cone, which is often eaten with a spoon, the piragua is eaten directly by the customer or is sipped through a straw.[5] Piragüeros are only out on hot, sunny days, because those are the only days when they can expect good business.[4]
