kept locked

Explanation:
Em, ingles, nao costumamos dizer a travada do rodizio mantem-se acionada. Normalmente dizemos que os rizios devem-se manter travados.

Leaving the casters in the locked position will keep the furniture from sliding across the floor. The casters should be kept locked.
(could also say "...kept in the locked position")

relates to baby cribs and more particularly to a novel ..... be in the down position with the casters locked to prevent rolling. ...

So' para esclarecer:

"A trava acionada impede que o móvel deslize sobre o solo. Deve-se manter a trava do rodízio acionada." = "Leaving the casters in the locked position will keep the furniture from sliding across the floor. The casters should be kept locked."

agree  Andrea Munhoz: Maybe with a dash to work as an adjective, just like kept-locked? It'd be my choice :-)

-> Thanks, Andrea! (actually is 'kept' is part of the verb phrase ==> should be kept = deve-se manter, so I wouldn't recommend the dash.)

agree  Elvio Sakamoto: esta seria a tradução para "manter a trava (do rodízio) acionada"

-> Thanks. Actually your suggestion means "to keep the casters in the locked position."
