Law/Patents - Insurance / Insurance contract
Portuguese term or phrase: danos de porção multiplicada de danos múltiples
It is part of a list under the heading "Perdas" in a Brazilian insurance contract. The entire item reads like this:

"Indenização (incluindo lucros cessantes e danos punitivos e exemplares e ***deporção multiplicada de danos múltiples***, em caso de jurisdições que reconheçam tal instituto) e custas udiciais perlas quais o segurado seja legalmente responsável."

I am perfectly clear on what punitive and exemplary damages are, but I don't know what is the rest. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I've been researching the same term and found a couple of insurance industry articles that talk about it. They both refer to it as the "multiplied portion of multiplied damages" and their descriptions and scenarios seem to fit.

I'm very, very, VERY sorry for the late reply. Yes, I did use this suggestions. But I confess that I decided to drop working with Portuguese altogether after this!
