Bus/Financial - Insurance / D&O Insurance
Portuguese term or phrase: por estipulante
This is part of a D&O liability insurance contract and appears in this context.

My question is whether "por estipulante" means "each named insured" individually as I don't really understand why THE named insured cannot enter into the contract. Or whether it means something totally different.

The Claims Made Policy period may not be less than 12 (twelve) months, except in cases in which the Policyholder intends to make the end of the policy period of one civil liability insurance policy (claims made) coincide with the end of the policy period of other policies, all purchased from the same insurer, and such policy period must begin and end 24 hours after the dates indicated for such purposes in the policies, certificates and endorsements.

This Policy may not be entered into by each named insured.

Many thanks in advance!
