chave

English translation: (here) e-mail address

Portuguese term or phrase: chave
Transcription of an e-mail conversation:

Caso voce ja tenha enviado correio ao Nilo solicitando, favor retransmitir para minha chave.

Could "chave" refer to e-mail address here?

English translation:(here) e-mail address
Explanation:
The context makes this interpretation almost inescapable; however it is pretty clearly just a bad usage, of the sole responsibility of the "hacker". Chave is normally == senha, segredo, i.e., password or key.

key

Explanation:
Since this is a transcription, it might have been interpreted as
"favor retransmitir para minha chave"
when it should be
"favor retransmitir para mim a chave"

In this case, chave is a key (or a password, if you will)

Thanks, this is a reasonable suggestion, but it really does not fit with the wider context. I perhaps should have specified that the text was not transcribed from dictation, it is merely a print-out of an e-mail conversation, which would make this sort of error less likely, IMO. Again, thanks for your input.

agree  Laerte da Silva: it might as well be since minha chave doesn't seem to make any sense. unless its some company jargon

Explanation:
I used to work for an international company where we used to call the "login" as "chave". Anyway, if it is a mail message, there is only one chance: email messages only arrive at "mailboxes".

So, maybe the person just wanted to say "retransmit it to my login" (OR simply, "mailbox").
