I second Mark Robertson's comment. If you supplied more context a suitable form or structure could be ensured in the answers provided.
The problem with the existing response below is that, while one of these terms could very well be correct, more context is required to clarify which term is best to use because they are not always interchangeable. Some of these suggested terms also have specific grammatical uses and constructions (e.g. "make sure" and "ascertain" are not necessarily interchangeable, and the preposition used to follow them can alter the meaning considerably, which risks corrupting the translation, while the grammar you use in your target context will also determine wihich one to choose from.) |
