crime involving mens rea Explanation: Dolo, in the context of criminal law, is the subjective element of a crime, i.e. criminal intent, which in US and UK law is referred to as "mens rea", "Mens rea is often described as the “mental element” in a crime. ... It can include what used to be known as “malice aforethought”, ie conscious planning or intent, as well as something culpable but less deliberate, such as recklessness or negligence." https://www.iclr.co.uk/knowledge/glossary/mens-rea-and-actus... Not all crimes (ilicitudes penais) involve mens rea (dolo), e.g. bigamy and statutory rape, which can be committed without criminal intent. I would translate dolo geral as general criminal intent (or general mens rea) Dicionário Jurídico, Ana Prata e outros, Vol. II, pág. 188-189 |

intentional act of malfeasance Explanation: bastando para o seu preenchimento o dolo genérico: general intent or 'mens rea' sufficing for its completion. Unclear from the question whether the context is criminal, civil or a hybrid e.g. fraud and/or if a civil servant, public employee or company director is involved cf. mis-, mal- and non-feasance. ilícito por su propia naturaleza : malum in se > hecho ilícito : unlawful act > West Mex. etc. ESP/ AmE law + business dictionary. Note that felonies vs. misdemeanours - as in the USA - have long been abolished in E+W where they are now called serious, arrestable vs. non-serious, non-arrestable offences. Example sentence(s):
