Principal Investigator (PI) Share

Explanation:
IP Evaluation Process
The following 7 steps will guide TCD researchers through the IP evaluation process.

1. The Principal Investigator (PI) completes a one-page Disclosure Document and submits it to Innovation Services, O’Reilly Institute (Dr Helen Waugh, Dr Davnat Heenan and Dr Margaret Woods). Innovation Services will review and will give feedback to the PI.

2. The Principal Investigator completes more comprehensive Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) and submits it to Innovation Services. Technical and commercial information on the technology/invention is requested, and detail on any previous or impending disclosures of related results must be given.

3. Inventors are supplied with Assignment documents in which they assign their rights to Trinity College, in return for a share in the benefits which Trinity College may receive arising from exploitation of the IP. Inventors sign a letter of agreement setting out how they will divide the inventors’ share of benefits among themselves
