froth flow analyzer / flow analyzer for flotation cells Explanation: Material flotado = froth This slurry (more properly called the pulp) of hydrophobic particles and hydrophilic particles is then introduced to tanks known as flotation cells that are aerated to produce bubbles. The hydrophobic particles attach to the air bubbles, which rise to the surface, forming a froth. The froth is removed from the cell, producing a concentrate ("con") of the target mineral. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Froth_flotation#Principle_of_op... I could not find an image-based flow analyzer, but found an acoustic flow analyzer: Acoustic flow analyzer for flotation cells http://www.flo-level.com/products.html Video of the acoustic flow analyzer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7q2vp3zJ_a8 |
