peg Explanation: escaravelha substantivo feminino Þ cravelha cravelha Language, Expression, English Translation or Definition. Portuguese, cravelha, peg. Source: compiled by the editor from the definition of peg; see credits. ... www.websters-online-dictionary.com/translation/Portuguese/c... - 12k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this Mike :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 41 mins (2007-11-27 03:02:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "escaravilha" is not a word. On Google, there are only ten hits, and all ten come from Proz, from this question, no doubt. It is spelled "escaravelha" and in my source (Porto Editora) it refers me to "cravelha" and after searching for a translation into English that makes sense, the closest thing I could find was "peg" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 59 mins (2007-11-27 03:20:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I agree. "Peg" does not fit the bill. If you have a technical dictionary that has other meanings of "cravelha" - obviously one that fits the context, then you would have your answer. I am limited to the Internet other than general, legal and business dictionaries in Portuguese and English. Good luck!! |
