hi everyone,
I am translating a police report, and there is a section at the end that called "Representacoes", in which the police seem to present their findings, and advocate for certain actions.

For example,

"REPRESENTACOES:

REPRESENTA pela medida de compartilhamento das informacoes e provas obtidas nos presents autos com o Procurador Geral de Justica do Ministerio Publico, para a instrucao dos procedimentos instaurados no ambito estadual....

REPRESENTA, por fim, com fundamento no artigo 4 da Le no.12.850/2013, pela decretacao judicial do PREDAO JUDICIAL ao Colaborador XX..."

How do you suggest translating "Representacoes" and "Representa" in this context?

all the answers were helpful, but I think 'recommends' fits best here, though "petition" also works too, but it's a Brazilian document and 'recommendation' seems to work best in this context

Portanto, penso que pode traduzir "Representações" para "Petitions/ Requests".

Para o verbo "Representa" pode usar o verbo "(to) petition" ou o verbo "(to) request".
As frases em PT ficariam algo como:
- Peticiona/Apresenta petição pela(/para a) medida de compartilhamento das informacoes..., para a instrucao dos procedimentos instaurados no ambito estadual....
- Peticiona/Apresenta petição, por fim, ..., pela(/para a) decretação judicial do PERDÃO JUDICIAL ao Colaborador XX..."
