In event of the PUBLISHER is the responsible by intermediation of the WORK Explanation: Segundo o dicionário do Marcílio Moreira de Castro, "agenciamento" é "intermediation". Eu optei por "work" como tradução para "obra" porque a palavra "livro/book" aparece logo em seguida, no trecho "para publicação sob a forma de livro" e não pode ser substituída. |

In case the publisher is in charge of promoting the book's sales Explanation: Esse negócio de chamar livro de 'obra' é coisa do português. Em inglês, diz-se "book", sem enfeites. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2016-02-02 01:35:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Mary, this very unfortunate characteristic of the Portuguese language deeply irritates me. I'm Brazilian and I lived in Brazil all my life, but I will not defend this ridiculous need to ornament the language, which only makes it incomprehensible. The simplicity of the English language, both written and spoken, is there to prove otherwise. |
