Yes, I thought it was written originally in English (I'm surprised). When I compared both versions, PT came across as being superior in terms of grammar. But I guess grammar is not so relevant in the case of pop music anymore. In PT-Br I see all kinds of weird stuff these days, like missing pluralization (e.g. "as mina"). Anyway, I have yet to decide if I want to keep this example in the glossary. I may drop it altogether. Thank you for your advice. Knowing it was written in English, I definitely wouldn't change the lyrics. Your interventions are always to the point. Thank you.

I believe you are under the impression that this song was written originally in Portuguese and you need to translate it to English, am I right ?
But the song was written in English (although you may disagree with the grammatical structure). I don't really understand if you are trying to back-translate the Portuguese translation, but I wouldn't touch the original English lyrics, and besides, there may be copyright issues at stake.

Check out the grammar:

Go "right top" or "right to the top"? Also, "chasing"doesn't seem to fit in the previous line. Perhaps "go chasing"? I'd rather keep "chase rainbows" (that's the idiom in question). And "follow" seems to be inappropriate (as already noted by Mark somewhere). Anyway, I wouldn't use this translation. I might go with Ana's. It makes more sense and is grammatically correct.

From the bit that I read, this song was written originally in English "Close To The Sun" not sure if Rachael Lampa is the songwriter, but I know she's a contemporary Christian singer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachael_Lampa)
The "letras.mus.br" link I posted has the Portuguese translation (whether it's good or bad, I don't know).

If so, feel free to post an answer (rather than an innuendo that I'm wasting resources... not good). Surely as a translator translating poetry you already have a poetic solution at hand? It would be very useful to share your ideas, research etc., so we don't spend time unnecessarily exploring the same avenues, but can instead use our resources to find the very best suggestions.
