Água aberta é a invasão de água do mar no corpo da embarcação, resultado de fissura, rasgo ou rombo no costado.

Another explanation for "água aberta"-

Água aberta: Alagamento ocasionado por avaria no casco do navio.


Would someone please help me?
I have a strong inclination to "flooding" but I need to be sure.
