I'm translating a document about licensing for football clubs in Brazil. I'm stuck on the meaning of "sessões de reconhecimento" in the paragraph below, which is about the need for clubs to have separate training facilities rather than use their matchday pitches for training. Any help much appreciated - TIA!

"Deste modo, como medida a preservar os gramados dos estádios para as partidas oficiais e garantir uma infraestrutura adequada para treinamentos, caberá aos clubes: (i) adquirir e/ou manter instalações próprias para treinamento; ou (ii) alugar um centro de treinamento junto a terceiros, devendo tais instalações serem distintas do estádio. As sessões de reconhecimento serão mantidas, desde que autorizadas pelo Regulamento Específico da Competição. Eventuais casos omissos serão avaliados pelo licenciamento de clubes."

I think that the term mentioned does not refer to the pre-match training sessions, but to other sessions (not otherwise mentioned in this text) where the team would visit the match venue beforehand, to familiarise themselves with the pitch and surroundings.
