Auch das Kochen im Steinguttopf ist möglich. Topf mit Alufolie verschließen, der Topf wird dann in ein Wasserbad gestellt. Wenn man ¼ l Fleischbrühe durch frisches Schweineblut ersetzt, erhält man rote Grützwurst.

Swatt Grütt kocht man mit 1/2 -1 Liter Schweineblut. Außerdem gibt man zur Grütze feingehackte, in Schmalz gebräunte Zwiebeln.
