Este tipo de estruturas tensionadas exige a utilização de software específico e vanguardista até à obtenção das “formas” finais. O processo de criação dos desenhos de confeção é feito em 3 fases: a modelação através dos pontos estruturais fundamentais, o “Form Finding” e a “Linear Analysis”, a criação do plano de cortes da membrana e a definição de detalhes finais, tais como a criação e dimensionamento de bainhas para a passagem de cabos e a gestão de compensações, uma vez que as membranas vão ser deformadas durante o processo de montagem da estrutura.
