dovrei tradurlo nello specifico in un video che mostra una breve immagine da una lezione di ballo. in italiano e' "giro". qualcuno se ne intende di samba e sa dirmi se si traduce con giro o se si lascia in originale, in questo caso in portoghese (come avviene, ad esempio, per alcuni altri balli)?
il video è in inglese e l'insegnante usa la parola in portoghese.

Purtroppo non mi intendo di samba, ma facendo una ricerca ho trovato un documento della Federdanza (Federazione di Danza Sportiva) in cui i passi sono tutti "in originale". Ho provato a cercare il termine "Volta" e esiste un passo/figura di samba che in inglese è "Travelling voltas" che rimane così anche in italiano. Per non parlare dei vari "Volta spot turn" e "Circular Voltas".

"Volta" nel Samba dovrebbe essere una figura molto generica e non un passo specifico. Non sono un esperto del samba, che conosco ad ogni modo molto bene, ma lavoro da molto con comunità brasiliane; Sono quasi certo che il termine in questo caso possa essere tradotto tranquillamente con "giro" in Italiano, in quanto anche in altri ambiti (sempre sportivi e artistici) correlati ad arti e/o danze del folklore brasiliano, questo si traduce normalmente con "giro".
