Normally, when a contractor builds something for an employer/client, the client would "accept" the works all together upon completion. Acceptance (recepționare/recepție) is a formal handover procedure where both parties are present or represented on the site, some sort of written record/certificate is drawn up, etc. See http://www.dictionaryofconstruction.com/definition/final-acc...

But what your clause says is that the employer can accept the works in stages, i.e. individual parts (as long as they are physically and functionally separate) can be accepted, as opposed to all of the works together.
