Explanation:
Same weblink as Peter S's, whilst I feel the element of an 'equitable' estoppel in 'opposability' in all Romance lingos should be well and truly reflected.

Contrary to law dictionary definitions and ProZ commentators, estoppel does not act only as a procedural defence in EN contract and it is misleading to insist on such interpreation,
