swinging sight Explanation: Am gasit pe net expresia la arme (archery + firearms), If you do not know the limitations of your sight (both fixed and Pendulum) then you are not spending enough time shooting. The swinging sight must be kept clean and can be noiser than fixed but, a pendulum does take out some of the uncertainy of angle compensation. http://teamnatural.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php?t9584.ht... The Pendulum-Hausse sight is a free-swinging sight attached to a section on the barrel near the breech end. http://www.horsesoldier.com/catalog/c0004.html la aviatie: When a compass drawn from stock is used as a swinging sight, 180 degrees must be added to compass reading to obtain magnetic heading of aircraft. http://www.tpub.com/content/aviationmaintandmisc/TM-1-1500-2... Si acolo e vorba tot de un vizor basculant, asa ca probabil se poate folosi si aici. |

hinged/sliding windows Explanation: On a helmet it's a "hinged visor" Visors Visors, made of a high impact-resistant plastic, offer better overall vision than the wire cages available, which can obscure vision in certain areas. The face shield provides excellent straight ahead and peripheral vision, but does not provide as good of air flow as the cage. This causes the shield to fog up during play. . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hockey_helmet something like this : http://motorcycles.about.com/od/gearphotogalleries/ig/AGVTi-... I'm pretty sure that you can't call them "visors" as the term is reserved for the wearable apparatus :), window seems to be it In a sense, you could call a window, a sight glass |
