Russian to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software Computer games

Hello, in a description of the desired design for a computer game, the writers of this text use the term "накладка" to describe the necessity of/necessary avoidance of making a game element interactive. (I.e., set up the furniture in the room so it's not an interactive element the character can walk through) My Google search has not been conclusive, but one possibility is just a descriptive phrase:

interactive element (as opposed to "static element")

But if there are any game developers or tech experts out there, I'd love to hear an approved industry term for it, thank you!
