Перевожу техническое задание. Сфера: металлические тонкостенные конструкции. Строительство склада.
И там встречается такой термин, как привязка осей.

Расстояние от координационной оси до грани или геометрической оси элемента называется привязкой. Раз здесь по центру, значит, у нас привязка центральная (при равномерном распределении толщины стены).
По-русски я всё изучила и поняла, а вот английского эквивалента не могу найти, я оставила рабочее positioning of axes, но далее в тексте идёт привязка отметки. И тут уже синтаксис против меня, так как перевод получается корявый.

Мультитран предлагает tie-in, dimensions to the main column lines... Я пыталась найти какие-то ТЗ с этими терминами, но ничего не нашла.

Возможно, есть для привязки чертёжное сокращение типа FFL, как на этой картинке для уровня чистого пола: http://www.etenders.gov.za/sites/default/files/tenders/W201 ...

Буду рада любой помощи.

привязка (по местности, чертежу) - Snap/binding - это привязка к некоему ориентиру, от которого далее, например, откладываем расстояние. Т.е. установка начала координат в системе (подсистеме) в это место.
В данном контексте, насколько я вижу, некая ось (связанная с остальной конструкцией) привязывается к геометрическому центру колонны.

Да, по ссылке речь идёт о привязке к осям координат рисуемых линий в смысле параллельного выравнивания по этим осям системными средствами, т.к. большинство линий в строительстве параллельно какой-либо из трёх осей координат.

agree  Rachel Douglas: I'm no expert in this field, but it seems that "alignment" could be right. I hesitate to say "axial alignment," because that appears to be a different case, involving end-to-end alignment, not side-by-side.
