Трубы можно упаковывать путем поштучной обертки бумагой или рядом «в замок»: трубы укладывать в ящик через одну в ряд, после чего ряд покрывать бумагой с последующей укладкой труб в недостающие места ряда и т.д.

Перевод:
Tubes can be packed by wrapping each tube with paper or one by one using "fish-bone" packing: tubes are to be laid into the box in a row one the next but one, then the raw is to be covered by the paper, followed by laying of tubes into the empty spaces in the raw, etc.

Explanation:
This loses the idea of castles or locks, but I think it works.

Tubes can be packed individually by wrapping with paper, or alternately: the tubes are laid in the box with gaps between them, and then covered with paper, with the gaps being filled by other tubes.
