precursors Explanation: xxxx precursors -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 час (2016-01-24 18:14:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- To: ASKER 'Precursor' is a manufactured product (as opposed to a 'raw material') which can be further used to manufacture another product. E.g., a 'fiber glass mat' can be a 'precursor' to produce a 'foam laminate': A fiber glass mat especially useful for bonding to foam contains glass fibers and a "B" staged acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature above 45 degrees C., the method of making the mat, a precursor for a foam laminate, a method for making a foam laminate, and the product produced by the latter method are disclosed. The mat conforms well to any curvature on the foam layer and stiffens the foam layer resulting in a superior foam laminate for making automotive parts like headliners. http://www.google.com/patents/US6008147 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 час (2016-01-24 19:20:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Еще пример по теме: Process for producing a heat-resistant alumina fiber mat US 5145613 A Реферат A heat-resistant alumina fiber mat contains an accumulated mass of alumina staple fibers and continuous alumina filaments. The accumulated mass is sewn with the continuous alumina filaments. A process for producing a heat-resistant alumina fiber mat includes accumulating a precursor of alumina staple fibers to obtain an accumulated mass, sewing the accumulated mass with continuous filaments to give a sewn mass and then sintering the sewn mass. The continuous filaments may be continuous alumina filaments or a precursor thereof. https://www.google.com.ar/patents/US5145613 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 час (2016-01-24 20:12:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- To: ASKER If 'manufactured products' are used 'as is' by 'retail end-users' these are 'products', if 'manufactured products' are used 'in bulk' 'to further manufacture a higher valued-added product, they may be called 'precursors'. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 час (2016-01-24 20:13:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If 'manufactured products' are used 'as is' by 'retail end-users' these are 'products', if 'manufactured products' are used 'in bulk' to further manufacture a higher value-added product, they may be called 'precursors'. |
