Russian term or phrase: Погоды не сделает
This is from a sports event competition. The speaker is mildly complaining about the not the best possible
weather conditions for the event but goes on to add:

Но ничего, лёгкие облачка и накрапывающий иногда дождик погоды не сделают.

Normally, I would translate it as "won't matter", "won't make a difference" or some such. In this case however, I'm struggling with the fact that they are also talking about the clouds and drizzle (cloudy and rainy weather) ... which won't change the weather! This is of course a not-too-subtle play on words but I can't think of a similar trick in English. Any ideas?

Even if it drizzles every now and then, we can weather it.
Explanation:
Может, что-нибудь прямо со словом "weather"? Тоже, конечно, not-so-subtle...

Thanks everyone. I was hesitating between this and Yuri's answer but finally agreed with other voters that this looks like the best fit. Thanks again.

Explanation:
A minor deviation, but essentially the same meaning.

It's not really a play on words because you don't need to use 'weather' twice or even at all.

A little bad weather won't rain on our today's parade

Explanation:
But regardless of the weather conditions, (no matter rain or shine), cloudy skies or occasional drizzles, this event goes on (here is a plain way of saying this :))

rain on somebody's parade
to do something that spoils someone's plans
I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but you're not allowed to have alcohol on the premises.
