ROI is calculated as follows


Explanation:
ROI (Return on Investment) - as opposed to ROA (Return on Assets, which may include borrowed funds). This is a standard, universally recognized term in the US accounting/investment analysis system. I don't see a need to reinvent the bycilce here.
