(which no one will ever know), they called the withholding with the nearest apt (if incongruous, given the bankruptcy) decent name, "risk discount". I would stick to it. :-)

I'm not entirely sure that's what we're talking about here. The dividends were not entirely paid, and the company bankrupt and sold off. So, the former shareholders received a payment of what the profits WOULD HAVE BEEN, but no one knows exactly what they would have been, because there is always risk. So they received a smaller amount. But how can I say that in a couple words??
