Russian term or phrase: в водоизмещенном состоянии
... он сообщил о том, что эти танки выдерживались под нагрузкой *в водоизмещенном состоянии*, удерживались в течение трех часов с отрывом опорных колонн от грунта, то есть полную нагрузку выдерживают в течение трех часов, замечаний нет, танки сухие.

This phrase has come up 2 or 3 times. I haven't settled on a consistent way of translating it. What would you recommend?

filled up (in a filled up condition)

Explanation:
tanks were tested filled up or in a filled up condition

If in a broader context "в водоизмещенном состоянии" unexpectedly pertains to the ship rather than tanks then is has to do with the ship's displacement/draught/draft.

neutral  Oleg Kadkin: тут возникает вопрос, давление воды снаружи или внутри танка?
5 mins
  -> "танки сухие". Естественно, внутри.

neutral  rns: Обычно в таком случае указывают давление — pressure tested at/to ...?

to undergo an immerse test(ing)

Explanation:
I would translate the whole phrase 'выдерживались под нагрузкой в водоизмещенном состоянии'.

An immerse test means immersing the loaded tank into water and exposing for a certain period of time...

To all appearance the load should be dry in order to check the presence/absence of leaks.

to rns: я думаю, что условия испытания при погружении танка не одни и те же, что условия без погружения. В первом случае на погруженную часть танка также оказывается давление снаружи

neutral  rns: An immersion test normally checks corrosion rather than leakage and thus takes much longer than 3 hours—180 days in your example. // Заполнили танки, ждем, смотрим — не вытечет ли чего. Погружать-то их зачем? Чтобы вытекшее потом в воде искать?
1 hr
  -> не вижу никаких проблем тот же тест применить в течение 3 часов для проверки "дырявости" танков
