Конечно, тягу можно измеряить и в фунтах, и в ньютонах. Но если её измеряют в килограммах, то обязательно добавляют букву с (сила) или f(force), чтобы не путать с килограммами, которыми измеряють массу (вес, по-старому). См., например,:

Тут всё нормально, а вот на страничке с лошадиными силами какая-то чертовщина произошла. Я успел заметить 5(!) ответов, выданных в одну и ту же минуту. А через две минуты из них почему-то осталось только три?!

Takeoff thrust is 6,900 kilograms. The abbreviation actually means "килограмм-сила," but in U.S. English thrust is expressed only as "pounds" or "kilograms"
