Explanation: "В Смольном утверждают" I suppose you could preserve local color by writing "Sources at 1 Smolny Way, where the city government is located, say that..." But if your audience is chiefly English-speaking, the efficient solution could be to omit Smolny and just say what it is. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 mins (2012-06-19 00:15:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Oops, sorry - I hadn't seen the discussion, in which the relevant info was already given. It's not Princess Shatagina's Smolny any more. |
